REGIONAL FINANCE ANALYST (Partner Support Coordinator) - CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is a US – based voluntary organization working in more than 80 countries around the world to assist people victims of disasters, people in need and the disadvantaged regardless of race, belief or nationality. CRS has been operating in Indonesia for 54 years under the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs with programs primarily in the areas of humanitarian assistance, Disaster management and Emergency Response.

CRS/Indonesia is  currently hiring for a REGIONAL FINANCE ANALYST (Partner Support Coordinator) for Asia Region, but to be based in Jakarta. This position will report to Asia Regional Finance Officer (also based in Jakarta). Following the job desc below, this position is anticipated to travel 25% region-wide. 

Key responsibilities of Regional Finance Analyst (Partner Support Coordinator) are to ensure proper finance tracking and reporting system is in place, provide accurate accounting information and financial control data and review partner internal controls and work on capacity building of partners (in particular Asia Outreach partners). Regional Finance Analyst (Partner Support Coordinator) will be also responsible for regional databases, compilation and analysis of various regional reports. In summary, the Regional Finance Analyst (Partner Support Coordinator) will be providing adequate support to Country Programs and Partners.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure integrity and quality data processing for accurate reporting and information sharing

Review and verify financial transactions, documents and financial statements of the agency ensuring their integrity and compliance with policies, regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.

Assist in coordination and submission of the Annual Program Plan.

Perform review of new projects proposal budgets ensuring that budgets prepared are realistic and allocated costs are included at an adequate level.

Supervise the preparation of budgetary processes and maintain accounting database.

Prepare and review internal and external reports before submission to the relevant audience.  This is to ensure integrity, completeness and accuracy and reporting compliance.

Provide timely response and needed supporting documentation to all audit queries raised by Internal and External auditors.

Conduct partners’ financial systems assessment and review tools for capacity building of partners.

 Assist partners with strengthening their internal controls.

Conduct capacity building visits to partner organizations.

Review partner agreements on compliance in order to minimize Agency risks.

 As basis for risk management, ensure that the Agency financial policies and procedures are followed and donors’ compliance requirements are met to the expected standards.

Provide support within Asia region to emergency responses as it relates to financial systems, policies, procedures set up and implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Degree in respective field such as Accounting or Finance, work experience in related field

At least five years experience in accounting for international agencies.

Knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting.

Strong computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.

Experience with accounting systems.

Good written and spoken English is a must; excellent written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrate strengths in financial accounting with a strong client service focus.

Skilled in obtaining information necessary to accomplish duties.

Able and enjoy working in a multicultural environment.

Able to prioritize work, multi-task and meet deadlines.

Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level.

Strong customer orientation.

Able to work independently  and able to adapt and learn.

Strong organization and planning skills, detail oriented.
