Main Duties :
Public diplomacy activities on the UK economy and commercial opportunities in support of UK Trade International colleagues
Disseminating relevant publications on the UK economy and UK commercial features to key contacts and coordinate public events related to the UK Prosperity agendaOrganising high level visits programmes and liaising with Prosperity fund partners on key eventsLobbying and reporting on trade policy and market access issues in support of Prosperity Team leader and UKTI
Assisting in lobbying of Indonesian government ministries and agencies and reporting on Indonesian market access issuesContribute to reports on Indonesian multilateral positions (Doha, ASEAN, APEC, Trans Pacific Partnership)Maintaining contacts with government ministries and agencies, business community and relevant research organisations
Liaising with the EU Delegation and relevant local partners as well as with other sections of the Embassy (UKTI, MCS, UKCCU, Political Team, British Council)Occasionally interpreting for UK-based colleagues if a local interlocutor does not speak EnglishRequirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Economics or BusinessExperience in a similar role in another Embassy or international organisationSome experience of public relations work is desirableAttention to detail with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standardFlexibility, resilience under pressure and decisivenessAbility to work with people of different levels and backgroundsStrong written and oral communication in Indonesian and EnglishProficient in MS Office applicationsThe British Embassy offers a competitive remuneration package, inclusive of salary, benefits and training opportunities.
